Reci Laser, a prominent laser equipment manufacturer, has recently unveiled the FC40000, a high-power high-brightness multimode continuous fiber laser. This new addition to their fiber laser family provides end-users in the thick plate cutting market with an alternative choice. Building upon the success of their 30kW fiber laser, the FC40000 achieves stable output of 40kW with a 100μm core fiber, delivering exceptional brightness. The increased cutting speed translates to higher productivity, enabling users to generate more profits within the same timeframe.

Traditionally, 20kW fiber lasers can only cut medium-thick plates ranging from 40-50mm. However, the new 40kW fiber laser effortlessly handles thick metal plates measuring 80-100mm. Real-world testing has demonstrated the outstanding performance of the FC40000 in cutting 60-80mm carbon steel and stainless-steel materials, delivering faster cutting speeds while maintaining clean cutting edges. The new product is expected to find applications in industries such as shipbuilding, heavy machinery, and defense. The development of the FC40000 aligns with Reci Laser’s technology roadmap, as the research and development team accelerates efforts to capture the market for ultra-high-power fiber lasers. The FC40000 has already undergone successful on-site testing and has been delivered to customers.

The higher power and brightness of the fiber laser result in faster processing speeds and improved cutting quality, making it particularly advantageous for metal material processing. Many high-power lasers on the market adopt multimode beam combining, which requires more modules to suppress Raman gain. Consequently, the output fiber core diameter increases, inevitably compromising the beam quality. While the laser power increases, the actual processing results do not exhibit linear improvements.

The FC40000 multimode fiber laser from Reci Laser is the result of comprehensive research and development, integrating high-power single-module technology, high-power laser beam combining technology, high-power Raman suppression technology, mode combination control technology, and efficient heat dissipation technology. Based on high-power Raman suppression technology, the FC40000 achieves stable output with a 100μm core fiber length of no less than 30m, even at power levels exceeding 40kW. Additionally, Reci Laser leverages the advantages of high-power single-module fiber laser modules, with individual module power exceeding 6000W. The integration of a minimal number of modules ensures excellent beam quality after beam combining. This design significantly reduces the overall size of the machine, even surpassing the size of some domestic competitors’ 20kW lasers. This improvement increases space utilization for integrators and reduces logistics costs.

With these advantages, Reci Laser’s FC40000 multimode fiber laser, synthesized using multiple modules of the same specifications, offers higher brightness, faster cutting speeds for the same-sized metal sheets, reduced taper angles on cut surfaces, and improved precision. It can achieve high-precision cutting of 100mm thick carbon steel plates. In addition to the technical features of the product itself, Reci Laser has achieved cost control through independent research and development of raw materials (95%) and optimization of the laser’s internal structure, making the laser more cost-effective compared to competitors.

Moving forward, Reci Laser plans to continue developing high-power high-brightness lasers, aiming to achieve stable production of 60kW and higher power fiber lasers. Reci Laser remains committed to staying abreast of market trends and meeting the practical needs of end-users, contributing to the vibrant development of the laser industry in China.
